Very good macro of this spider, Todd! I like how your lighting has made the web stand out!
Dave.

hi todd..
I like it, is a beautiful contrast for the light and the colors one beautiful exposure on the spider. perhaps the flower (is right) in order to take all the frame but it distracts. is only my humble opinion, but I believe that the spider and the web are only perfect! I mean to say that the spider on the angle up on the left and the web on the rest of the frame is also minimalistic.. but also I know as he is difficle to work in the small field!
best wishes
roby

and have a nice week..

There are few things more facinating than a spider web, Todd. They are just incredible works of nature. They are also very hard to catch. The light has to be just right. well done.

Amazing how different orb weavers are up there in Canada compared to the ones down here in New Mexico. The only thing I would suggest doing it applying a bit of a blur or median to the background to reduce the noise. Great work, Todd.

Thanks, Morgan. Wish I had the skills to do that sort of thing. I am pleased with the results I get most of the time, even though I lack in editing skill. It is nice to know that my pics have potential. ;^)

...for now.

Hey man, I LOVE PS editing, you can always e-mail me a shot and tell me what to do. It'd give me great experience! My e-mail's on my profile here. Seriously, though, I wouldn't mind a bit to modify anything you would want (not the most well-crafted sentence, but whatever...).

Good thing your artistic dexterity is better than your english vocabulary.

Files are on the way.

Morgan Estill   {K:3786} 9/29/2005
Yeah, I'm glad about that, too. :)
I'll see if I can get to those files tonight. I'll be gone on a hunt from Friday night to Sunday night. I'll get them to you ASAP.

Todd Weeks   {K:7549} 9/29/2005
Morgan,

Take your time, buddy. I'm not going anywhere. Good luck on the hunt, and thanks for doing this. If you enjoy it, amybe I'll send some other pictures when you have time.

Sounds good to me. I love this stuff.

That's such terrific detail on the spider, Todd and the lighting on him is great. I like the way the web is lighted and shimmering. It would be good to have the flower a little less bright, I think.
Mary
