About A few minutes ago there was a monsoon-like event outside my house - lightning (hence the daylight-like colours) and torrential rain. So I set up my cam on my tripod and shot away :) 25 seconds f/13 18mm focal length. My next shot (to be uploaded) is without lightning light and the colours are quite different. Oh yah, I used the Nikon wireless remote.

Hi Anthony, Great atmospheric picture, very theatrical light. I like the fog and the diffusion of light, as well as the threatening long shadow of the tree. Has a movie quality to it... lemme see: Chicago, 1930's, the prohibition, black cars, detectives... Well done! Ina

Very nice photo, took some nerve to go out in the storm. I like the look of this one I think I little better than the Deluge II

Margaret Sturgess   {K:49403} 9/19/2005
I love this one too, totally different atmosphere , really like the way there is more detail, as in the grass and howing up the puddles of water and the background. Fabulous work

I do not think I thanked you all for your wonderfully encouraging comments. I think I did so individually, but I may have missed someone :(

I must say I was thrilled at the outcome of this experiment because I was hugely worried about the exposure time. I'm gaining more confidence and I thank you all for taking the trouble to look and comment.

I too like this one best...the captured scene of mystery and perhaps the unexpected holds the eye and imagination.

Felicitationes Maureen. Professor Trelawney would heartily agree with your take on this image :-)

Sybill used to be a seeker
With sunshine in her hair;
She'd dash along the corridors
With little time to spare.!!!
