About The refuelling probe of an RAF VC10.

The VC10 is itself a refuelling aircraft, but on long flights may also refuel itself from another VC10.

The VC10 still holds the record for the fastest flight from London to Sydney, as concorde had to stop for refuelling en-route. The VC10 didn't!

Although built in the early '60s the VC10s have many years left in them and are well suited to their military role (many of them were civilian airliners before conversion to refuelling tankers).
