I like the sky the way it is.. it works for me!! ummm maybe a tadd too much GB ... are you adjusting curves then Gb in overlay light??
Nice relective image tho

John Lamb   {K:9669} 9/20/2005
There is no sky in this shot. Not sure what you are seeing. Chris Spracklen asked me the same question. It's just mountain side above the trees.

To increase density I generally duplicate the layer, GB to 8.2 pixels and then adjust top layer blend to either multiply, overlay or softlight, whatever works. Then reduce opacity slightly. I find on my monitor it works well for taking off that harsh digital edge. Just a personal preference.

Cheers John

Amazing shot John. Love the winter colour. Going there myself for the opening of fishing season.

yeah sorry mate the comment about the sky was misunderstood as I said it with my tongue in my cheek.. I saw the earlier comment and thought sky...what the hell its a bloody mountain kekeke yeah re the technique.. I use a similar thing mostly for portraits but it does work on landscape too Catch ya

Tim  Schumm   {K:27167} 9/24/2005

Fadel J   {K:13605} 9/25/2005

jacques brisebois   {K:57520} 10/1/2005
breathtaking. Very good portfolio.

Kevin Collier   {K:19076} 10/2/2005
WOW -- excellent - this one is so beautiful it hurts my eyes in a good way - the seeming blur of the lake opposed to the sharpness of the hill and trees makes this a special image...K

Alexander Uspeshny   {K:482} 10/4/2005
Very interesting! What did you do with the sky? Is it Photoshop?

Yutaka Itinose   {K:21344} 10/5/2005

Kenneth Roine   {K:3502} 11/22/2005
John,
Thanks for the comment on my bird photo. I looked through your portfolio and it is outstanding! I can see your reverance for nature in your photographs.
With regards
Ken
