Great composition and style. The B&W is perfect.

God bless,
Ray

I love it so much I can't even tell you what I love about it. Now thats a good critique

Great image...really well composed! Love street photography! 7++++!
Question....do you know this guy??!
I would be so embarassed to pull off a shot like this (not to mention I am never on a subway!)
I'm seriously curious!

Thanks for your comment ~ Glad you like cows...brought me to your wonderful portfolio!!

Kes     {K:19764} 9/24/2005
Not to mimic Janet, but I'm here because of your comment on the cow liking on her shot. I figure anyone that says "I like cows" has to be pretty darn decent.

Ok, this photo of your friend on crack is excellent. Just joking about the crack - really. Nice composition - there is some good photo math here I think, and I like the DOF. You've caught quite the expression here, that contrasts with the activities of others in the background (getting off, reading & swinging foot, the gang planning).

It's ok to be in the zone!

Yeah I did know the guy! He took me to Montreal for Christmas. I'm usually pretty shy about taking pictures of people without their permission, especially with my big camera, but sometimes I like to go around with a tiny camera and try taking some secret ones, they don't come out too well tho =) The best way to get away with it is to pretend you didn't know what you were doing, "oh hahahaha hi" I wouldn't think most people would care, but I guess it depends on who the photographer is.

Janet B   {K:16139} 9/26/2005
Replying to you Keseph, so I know that you see it, too. I'm going to have to keep an eye on you using my cows for leverage! (ha ha)
Everything you said to Derek is so true and I guess I needed you to say it! Thanks!

I'm glad you are taking secret pictures, Derek! That's great! I'll have to try your suggestion about playing dumb...but with my luck, I'd get the one guy that WOULD care!!
I still just love this image!! Keep shooting!!

I dont see anyone getting off in this picture!?
And what is this about photo math? I just thought he looked like he was on crack too haha

Look at the stir this photo is causing, you are making friends over it. I told you it was wonderful (-: And yes we have other things to drink besides liquor... I have not drank in 2 weeks you should know. lol

Roland Lacson   {K:12214} 9/28/2005
Hello Derek, nice capture, great use of the guy on the right as foreground & focal point of composition. The other commuters in the background serves as added interest, thanks much for the comment to my image, best wishes.

Kes     {K:19764} 9/29/2005
The guy getting off? You don't see it? Kind of blurry...

...Hey! you were there!?!
