I like the effect You achieved by placing the bird in the middle of the frame. It creates perfect balance and amplifies the peaceful mood of this shot.

Nicley done James! Perfectly exposed. Normally I would say not to center the subject but the wake left by the pelican seems to upset the balance enough to make it a perfect composition. Anf the fact that it is not super tight makes it even more of an apealing shot...
