Hi Marcus,
Interesting birds. We don't see them in this area. I wonder if they are related to crows in some way. I'll have to look it up.
Even if you didn't name it in the title I can easily use this photo for identification in the bird books! A lot of the shots on this site from you and others are better than what is in the books!

The detail is awesome! I had to take a second look. I posted a Magpie in flight but the beaks are black here. I think my next camera will be the EOS 20D, the resolution is better I think. They are hard to capture as everything makes them jump or fly :) Pat
