Beautiful colors and contrast, a great moody feel in this image John!

You've captured this moody and expressive landscape very well.

What an ominous view.... I would've taken a shortcut that's for sure... ;-D!!! Beautiful colors, textures and view.... excellent composition with that road comming out of the corner and leading your eye through the shot... well captured!!! BTW hope you didn't get too wet.... ;-D!!!

Looks more like something taken through a Cokin filter than a natural scene. (I'm not implying it was, only that the colours are pretty implausible!). Photogenic indeed. And the lowering sky helps build the ominous atmosphere.

Buetiful colours and tones.

Beautiful image, John. I do understand Roger's comment as the contrast is quite extreme here, the shadows and some of the sky unexpectedly dark given the brilliantly sunlit midground, the whole as though crafted by burn/dodge and contrast adjustments. No complaints, just observations. You know how much I like your work.

Lovely - like the world has a low ceiling

Menno Naber   {K:3567} 9/25/2005
Great sky and landscape! Maybe i would choose a different composition to get rid of the bush on the right, and to see more road.
Anyway..well done
Regards Menno
