About I was in cyprus to photograph my mate Mario's wedding to Sarah....

they are in Venice right now, so I think I can get away with posting this without them knowing.

Never done a wedding before, but been to loads, so thought I'd have an idea what to do really.....

But no, this was a Greek Orthadox wedding, in greek, with 5 priests and about 4 singers singing the whole thing and moving all the time....

I'd got my 80-200 on the tripod in the perfect spot for when they were doing the ceremony.... then the presets walk in and that went out fo the window...

A catalogue of things like that really.

There were no set photos like at normal brit weddings either.

But in the end, and with over 150 shots in the church alone, I shoiuld have a few to go at and give them a decent present.

This one's just before they went in to the church, a lot of wierd filters to give it a grainy effect.... and her teeth really are that white.

Tense time Ade, I am sure you will have loads of super shots though and they will be thrilled with them.
Hope you had a good birthday, put up a card for you - couldn't miss it even though you were away

Under pressure Ade, I wondered why you weren't posting. I don't think I'd have coped lol. Nice photo, it's sweet, and the B+W is great

Great shot of the two, Ade! I like the soft b/w, it gives it a very romantic feeling.

You are one brave man taking on a wedding Ade. This is a fabulous shot. I really like the soft focus and the lightness of the overall image. Well done and Oh yeah, congratulations to the happ couple.

Ade. They look a very handsome couple so why the need for strange filters etc.I believe that this would have been more flattering as a straight forward snap.
Sorry Ade just read other comments and I seem to be the odd one out but then thats the story of my life.
I have just retired from 25 years of wedding photography but never did one outside of Uk.

It's a lovely photo, Ade...I love the way she's looking at him. I think they'll be pleased as punch when they see them.

Consider me booked!!!!

not easy doing these weddings though - 90% of the shots are candids coz you've really got to shout to get them to look your way.... even if you're the "official" photographer.

Getting these 2 to look at you at the same time.... crikey.

not a prob with you and keith - you're always looking into each others eyes :-)

who gets the bride's dress though?

Alastair Bell   {K:29571} 9/29/2005
And here we all were thinking you'd only gone for sun and beer! How we misjudged you....! Then again...its a good cover to have a few wedding pics and claim thats what you were there for!

Nicely done Ade... The PS work is very effective...

Alastair

Mario's as old as you - I'm a genius at Photoshopping :-)

Best part of this wedding was the lack of set piece shots - getting bride+groom with aunts, then unycles, then..... the blokes togeter etc. etc.

Thats so nice.
I am sure they make a lovely couple.

regards,
ken.

Very nice photo. I like the grain as well as the smooth tones of the photo.
