Does that mean you'll start shooting landscapes? I must admit I've wondered about the mugging aspect in some of the less busy parts of Warsaw. I tend to keep my camera under a jacket and only brign it out when required.
Very clever: port and starboard, red and green. Great shot with a very moody sky.

This is one powerful image Sally. Such vibrant colours coupled with an awesome sky. I like how the foot boarding takes the eye to the main subject too. Title is spot on in line with the way each boat is listing. Fabulous shot.

I think the concept, clarity, lighting and colour here are absolutely fantastic.
I know it's always easier to see after the event, but I would have gone off to the left (if that was possible) so that the path had a longer lead in to the boats. I would als possibly have changed the lens angle so that I could make the transition between land and sky fall at one of the "third" points.
Having said that, this is still a marvelous image.

Impressive and unusual image, Sally. Excellent crop and subject placement. Good sky, layered by the look of it, and well done. The rickety, wooden pier, is nicely, dead-centred. The restrained colours look natural and, overall, the image is excellent.
As for being mugged, the best shots for me, are always when I'm out and about (usually in the hills) on my own. Just sheep, cows and flies to mug me!

Sally this is awesome, I opened this and said "WOW where do you find stuff like this". I love it! There are so many things going for it, the old and rustic wood, the pier as a lead-in to the image, the drama in the sky, wonderful complementary colors, even the overgrown and forgotten grass ties in well with these old and neglected boats, and a creative title as well..I like the angle of the mast on the green boat, really well seen and taken. Is it not safe where you are? I'm glad you found a club to join and hope to see many more of your works....Linda

Hi Sally,
I really love this one, it works in every department for me.
About 5 years ago I purchased an oil painting from a major London Gallery. It was the best one there at the time of a major selling exhibition. It was of boats and an almost a perfect pair to your photo.
So you joined the local camera club. Don't let the competition judges get you down, they can be complete idiots sometimes, but grat fun nevertheless.

Local camera club sounds great! Hopefully we see more of your works in the future. I like the clarity here, the dramatic sky and the different "shapes" of the ships. This creates a lot of tension.
