About Subject background: As I'm back from vacation, I'm returning to my friends tribute tour. This portrait of a ray is a mixture of wildlife and humor - something that IMHO fits very well to a very funny guy called Steve Bowden. =) Check out his awesome portfolio.

From the thumbnail, I thought it was an animatronic frog with it's head stuck in something triangular - but the reality is even weirder!
Made me smile!

Great and funny capture. I visited Seaworld in Orlando this summer and the had a big tank with stingrays that you could feed and pet. People put ther haind under the stingrays and you could actually feel the mouth against the hand and then their soft bellies. really amazing creatureas

Excellent capture Thilo, and the smile does look familiar too lol

You do have to watch the teeth of these as they are extremely sharp and powerful !

Thankyou so much for the nice words also, I certainly owe you a few beers and WILL come across one day and treat you :-)

Best wishes,
Steve

Thilo, he looks like one of the characters that my kids watch with Sponge Bob. Can't think of his name, but this image rings a bell. Good capture! Really does look like a smile. Maybe a grimace. Nicely lit shooting through the glass and water.
