A number of you commented
on the blurred movement in
the background, how it
separates the main subject
in the foreground, and on
the story it tells about
modern fast-paced lifestyles.
But nobody has yet mentioned
the three swivel-necked men
riding on the bus/train and
what they are doing.
It seems to me that they are
a big part of the story being
told here.

Hey Gertrud, you have many wicked shots in your portfolio, and this is no exception. Like has already been said, there is so much that is good in this photo, and I think it communicates her absorption in her world, with some parts of the world rushing past her without meaning, like a blurry background to the things she cares about. But as I wrote that, other interpretations came to me so bravo for a shot that's so involving.
