My dear friend Humayun,
I see that your most recent photo was posted only a few days ago. That made me hope that your personal health might have improved. I sent you an e mail today expressing my heart-felt empathy with what your people and you have to endure these horrible days. Unfortunately there is nothing physical we (I) can do to help, at least not so far, so all I can do is express my being with you in my feelings.
Best regards despite all,
Rafi

Thanks friend,
Yes.. I'm better now. You r right it's a Great tragedy. One of our office colleague lost all 50 members of his family. Most of those who died are school children or college students. Its really sad and we are trying our best to contribute in whatever way we can in our personal as well as offical capacity. I just returned after three days of situation assessment from 2 of the worst affected districts and I can't tell u in words how bad it is! Accessibility is a serious issue due to the mountainous terrain, bad condition of roads and tracks and almost continous land slides (windscreen of our car got cracked by fallling rocks). Increasing cold and rains are making things worse for the victims as well as relief efforts.
Please pray that we can share the pain and agony of those affected and help them through these difficult times.
Best regards
Humayun

Dear Humayun,
I'm so sorry about what happened in your country and it seems that you also barely escaped being injured. It must take great courage to go to the afflicted areas, especially when you know that so little can actually be done. I will definitely pray for you and for those poor victims and may many of them be saved.
On another note, this is a lovely portrait of a beautiful young lady. I hope you can find some solace in your photography.
God bless you,
Rafi
