| About |
The great Eric Bartholomew, from the Lancatrian seaside town, Morcambe.
If there's one thing I miss about Lancashire (now I live in Yorkshire), it's the sense of humour and the characters you meet just walking along the beach, and no one epitomises this better than Eric.
This is his statue on the sea front in Morcambe, in the distance you cansee the cumbrian coast and to the bottom left I left the pigeon in - Eric was a passionate bird watcher, so just seemed appropriate.
In facy, the outfit he's waring is his birdwatching kit - note the binoculars.
got the toning by upping the white balance in a RAW editor

His mate had the short, fat, hairy legs didn't he. Eric was another of the all time greats and I put in the same category as Ronnie Barker and Tommy Cooper. Great shot of the statue but the toning has given a halo around the main subject. Den

Like the textures on the statue - he looks like he's got wet there is such a good reflection on the bronze....
