About this is the mad road that leads you up to Hardknott Pass in the english lake district.

it's only 1250 feet high, but it sure gets there fast!!! Very bleak up there too, so I lowered the white temeperature a little to make it look suitable bleak!

This was taken from the near by Wrynose pass

Very beautiful landscape shot, and the climbing road makes the picture very interesting, as a small affirmation of human presence. I admire Your choice of the angle to make the light reflect in the wet surface of the pavement. I am imagining headlights of a descending car on that road, what in my opinion is only thing missing in this shot and it would be a masterpiece.

Love the shape of that road

I wouldn't want to spend a night up there in the middle of winter Ade. Your shot sure portrays the bleakness of the place. Spectacular capture.

believe it or not, I've got a sale for this one.

my mate's dad actually cycled over that without stopping - applauded by walkers as he went past - so Jason's getting it printed off at A2 for him as a present!

Think I'll make about £7..... a long way to that 16-35 F2.8 I want.... that's £1035.
