I think it is very hard to figure out the story behind this picture. Since this person is turned away from the lens it is very hard to guess what is his purpose in this photo. Is this person sleeping or is he involved with something going on on the ground in front of him. The detail and texture of the background walls are competing with the man for attention. The caption suggests the main theme is division but to me it looks more like a confinement.
