About This is a cemetery right by my house. Many of the headstones have been there for more than 125 years. Many are also hand made.

I drive by it every morning taking my daughter to school. This morning was foggy and scene was spectacular. Unfortunately, I missed the optimum time for taking the shot as the sun had come up quite a ways before I could get there.

With a little PS enhancement, I was able to capture the essence of the view.

I considered putting it in the Still Life category as the life in this place is about as still as it gets!

This is an absolutely wonderful shot, Mark. The sunlight through the fog with the silouetted stones and trees makes a very dramatic mood. The composition is very good! This is a winner, Mark. Print it and hang it on the wall! Larry

Thanks, Larry. I really don't get out to shoot much these days. One problem is that I am always looking for that next 'great' subject. I've been talking about shooting a sunrise in this cemetery for months and this is the first time I've done it. I have a few more ideas for shoots, but haven't gotten around to them yet.

You achieved a perfect correction with your P.S. work, Mark. Whatever was wrong with this photo to begin with, now it's exquisite. The golden light-rays seen through the mist are fascinating. I see the name Nixon on the front tombstone. Any connection with the Nixon we know? excellent photo.
Thank you for your very kind comment on my "Lily" and your wishes for Yom Kippur.
Best regards,
Rafi
