great shot, the sea looks a little ruff for a swim, just a paddle.
Nigel

Dirck DuFlon   {K:35779} 10/14/2005
Very nice, mi amiga! I like the separation between the gulls' 9or terns') world and the human world beyond. The bluish haze over the cityscape gives it a kind of 'mirage' quality!

Linda Bique   {K:73886} 10/14/2005
I've missed you mi querido, and hope things are going well for you. I haven't had a chance to look at your portfolio but will make it a point to get over there today. Hugs and kisses my queridísimo Dirck...Linda

Keith Saint   {K:10935} 10/14/2005
Hey Linda where you been? I have missed you
Love how you have taken this as it has intres all over
It looks as if Mum and Dad are looking after the little ones
Very as nice as usual

Dirck DuFlon   {K:35779} 10/14/2005
Thanks, Linda! No need to comment on mine - I know you're busy! Good to see you! :)

Linda Bique   {K:73886} 10/14/2005
Thank you Keith, so nice to hear your words, and it's great to be back. Funny you should say that about Mum and Dad watching over the little ones, because I initially wrote that in my about, and then changed it, you know what they say about great minds...hahaha...I'll be checking out your work shortly my friend...Linda

Michael Mellen   {K:7935} 10/14/2005
I like the vignette used here and the cityscape in the background. Very nicely composed.

Larry Fosse   {K:65776} 10/14/2005
Nice composition Linda...I like the birds eye view of downtown Tampa....We'll be there in about 6 weeks

Mohamed Banna   {K:34213} 10/14/2005
great shot

seems also they are a family ?

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 10/14/2005
Hi Linda! I like the color treatment and vignetting. It looks like a vintage polaroid, muting the modernity of the buildings, and adding a memory look. Lovely birds (sandpipers?), hard to catch them standing still. Regards, Ina

Linda Bique   {K:73886} 10/14/2005
Hi Larry always nice to hear from you, thanks for your comment I just had to tell you that I almost named this "a birds eye view" hahaha...great minds again...Linda

Linda Bique   {K:73886} 10/14/2005
Hi Ina, thanks for your comment, it's always good to hear from you. Glad you like the vignette too, no color treatment though, and I do think they are sandpipers too, but wasn't sure..they do look like them don't they...and you are so right they are very skiddish...I just wish that I had my telephoto lens but then again I couldn't have gotten that cityscape as well, so who knows?...Thanks again dear...Linda

NN     {K:26787} 10/14/2005
Hi Linda! Well seen and taken! A fabulous composition ... love the idea of UFers taking in the view of the birds taking in the view ... and the view is just gorgeous :) Nice vignetting! *hugs*

Lily     {K:11009} 10/14/2005
Linda, You are in Tampa now? Did you move? I like the vignette and the birds. We spent a Christmas in that area (St Petersburg).

Francesco  Francesco   {K:8101} 10/14/2005
Dear Linda,

I wish I were there to enjoy the view with.

We know this kind of picture have double value because first of all you have to be there and then to be clever to see the moment. In my opinion this makes the difference between a great photographer and a good photographer, your place is among the first...Bravissima!

Ciao

Etienne    {K:4192} 10/14/2005

Linda Bique   {K:73886} 10/14/2005
Hahahaha...ya think?

Ayse Altan   {K:3509} 10/14/2005
Nice shot. the composition is superb. I loved the reflections especially. But, I'm not so sure about the background. The citryscape alone looks impressive but when combined with the birds, they seem to be taken at very different locations (which may look attractive to many other people. Anyway, a good photo overall.
regards
ayse

Burak Tanriover   {K:16604} 10/14/2005

So you were in my neck of the woods! I was just in Tampa yesterday.

I love the clarity of the birds against the water. The vignette really adds a lot here. Outstanding work. :)

A cool shot....... I'm not sure if they are admiring the view or thinking about the merits of taking a swim.

Nice vignette.

Take care
Mark ;-)

John Loreaux   {K:85782} 10/15/2005

hi, i haven't been to Tampa for eons...used to have relatives there...hope you can avoid the path of hurricanes in fla. ...this could almost be two distinct images with the FG birdies and water in the neutral tones vs. the BG with the blue cast....also has a slight look of a holga image with the vignetting and blur...cool little sandpiper reflections,Linda...hugs,gayle
