About I was looking through old family photos and I found this one. I think I took it with a disposable camera when I was 14. That's my Dad and my then, Terminally ill, adopted, step sister. Complicated no? We were in Hawaii for her "make a wish." It wasn't the greatest vacation, but I really like this picture!

It's a sad 'about' - but a great photo - especially for a disposable.
I like the strong contrast, the stripes of saturated colour - and those shadows in the sand are very pleasing too.

Love the lively sea and beautiful shadows and reflections. More important, wonderful to have this memory on paper but so sad and unfair.
