Well, George seems to be the master in many fields! I visited his portfolio and found the famous Tilted Tower of Dublin :)

This couple has started to look like each other; love their open mouths :-O Nice one!

Nice street photography and yes it does remind me of George. An interesting couple...I agree with Elisa they are starting to look alike. I like the colors they are wearing, the expressions on their faces, makes one wonder what they are looking at, and his hat goes well with the sail in the background, and of course the title. Nice capture Thilo, I like that they are coming into the frame..and it's a nice tribute to our friend George who does wonderful photography of all kinds...Linda

Thilo,
It looks to me like the "Captain" might be more comfortable on his ship. :)
One day I plan to go through all of the photographer's portfolios who you have done a tribute for. I trust your taste for the ones that I am not too familiar with. Quite a lot of them, I have already seen.
Thanks for doing this.
Andre

well done. like the synchronous step of the couple. the compementray colors of their outfits. wonder how long they have been married. too bad that skipper's hat is so low...we are missing the details in his face because of the shadows. nice street shooting.

Many thanks for the nice, very flattering words, Thilo. Truth is, in the last few months, I've been trying to learn to take street photos. Now I've got to work harder. ;-) Cartier-Bresson remains an inspiration. And there are several photographers on UseFilm--including Magnus Beierlein and Carlos--who really set the standard.

To the matter at hand, I've been away for a while and missed this one. It is a fine shot of a couple with what seems to be a long history. As Luke and others point out, their body language really tells the story.

Best regards,
--George
