Ozjan Yeshar   {K:18661} 10/17/2005
Thanks so much Guido for your kind comment! The fruits are called "cannon balls" The Malaysians do not eat that kind of fruits. Those fruits have gorgeous flowers. I have managed to capture one of them and it is posted in my portfolio under the title "Exotic Diamonds" cheers my friend.

Ozjan Yeshar   {K:18661} 10/17/2005

Larry Hammond   {K:16631} 10/18/2005
Hi I see how you adjusted levels and contrasts. Contrast I understand but not the levels thing, will you explain a little about it please??

Larry

Ozjan Yeshar   {K:18661} 10/19/2005
Larry, I have tried the brightness tool with "MS Picture" but the result was not good. I could not get details of the monkey so I had to use the transparent- fade even level to reduce the strong contrast and get better details of the monkey. However, I could not maintain better result at the background.

Larry Hammond   {K:16631} 10/19/2005
Ozjan, sorry I misdirected this question, it was meant to go to the person that left a sample change above in comments for you. I am curious about levels. Thanks.

Ceceilia Robinson   {K:1023} 10/20/2005
Wonderful composition. I love the attention to detail you and the primate are paying to this group of balls. Very well done. I do agree on the contrast adjusmnt, but think that a detailed critique could be handled privately. I like your
photo. Cngratulations, Ceceilia

Reda Danaf   {K:11909} 10/20/2005

Gabriela Tanaka   {K:16531} 10/20/2005
This is a great catch, Ozjan! Very good composition! But....I have to say almost the same thing that was already pointed out here: it is s pity you did not adjust it for contrast and levels, at least!
Gabriela

Ozjan Yeshar   {K:18661} 10/20/2005
Thanks Gabriela! I know it is not a perfect shot and an area of improvement is required. Cheers and great to read you always.

Eleisa Martin   {K:2579} 10/20/2005
Hi Ozjan. I love looking through your portfolio because I get to see things we don't have here where I live. I love the beautiful browns you have captured here.
Eleisa

Ozjan Yeshar   {K:18661} 10/20/2005

Hi LArry, and sorry for the late reply .. well about the levels tool in photoshop :The levels tool is a powerful way to redefine the tonal values of an image. It displays a histogram of those tonal levels. The levels tool can be found under the menu Image/ Adjustments/ Levels. Never use "Auto Levels"!!! Unless you like to gamble that much! ;)

Mmmm... you can get some more information on levels here : http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/levels.htm

Good Luck !
My best regards,
aLi
