Tragic that the only things designed to stay standing are nature's trees and a damned radio tower. A pitiful and heartbreaking sight. Hope aid and tents especially are now getting through and that lessons about constructing buildings in earthquake zones are learned.

Well Ian, according to UN chief for the area there are just not enough tents in the world to fulfill the demand and even after the whole world generously pouring money, aid is still a trinkle compared to disaster. I was there last week and I can tell you, simply nothing is enough there.

What a tragic sight, It is amazing what nature can do. I have also gone through a 7.6 earthquake so I know first hand the kind of sorrow it brings. You all were hit very badly and the amounst of humans taken unthinkable. I will check out the website. Alison

This is a hard hitting journalist photo, certainly makes you think. I had the chance to visit Kashmir years ago, but never Pakistan. I'll never forget how well I was treated by fine Muslims in Kashmir. Hard to believe.
