About I shot this Saturday at Cape Canaveral National Seashore. This is my first bird in flight photograph. I'm surprised I was able to get as much detail as I did since I was using my 100mm macro lens. Minimal PS

Hi Laurie, thats why that lens is one of my favorites. This is a great shot for your first in flight capture. They are not easy to do. I love the dof as you really can't tell whether it is the sky or the ocean. Adds a little bit of mystery to the photo. Great work and thanks for all of your recent comments. I apologize for not commenting more but unfortunately haven't been doing a hole lot of photo work lately. Most of my recent posts are all from archives and I jhave little time to sit and comment;)

Laurie did you get a new camera? This is a wonderful in-flight capture, especially for your first time...I like that lens too, still finding out what it can do...Nice placement with the bird coming into the frame...and of course I like the minimalist composition...very nice work...Linda

Very good - especially for a first bird in flight shot! It really does look as though the background could be sky or water! I like that you have the bird just coming into the frame - gives him plenty of room to soar!
