Paul, wonderful softness and lighting in this image. Did you use a difuser or post-manip? I feel a bit more light was needed on her right eye (the shade side). Perhaps a subtle reflector would have done the trick. Beautiful girl. Your daughter?

Thank you for your kind comments. I have to admit it was a colour image taken outside with a long lens. Photoshop CS2 duplicate the layer with a gaussian blur and then changed the opacity. Just wish the sun would have helped me out a little more!!! Infact simple should have asked my daughter to turn round!!!

Thanks for the tips Paul. No ... turning her face wouldn't work as it would burn the bright side. A reflector on the dark side may have done the trick. I haven't done much portraits myself but read about using reflectors on a book lately. I have to start getting some PS lessons now and start shooting portraits!
