I love sandpipers! :) The vignetting makes it look as though this was taken at nighttime. I love the smoothness of the sand in this one!

I see these little chaps on the beach here as well, but have never got anywhere near close enough to photographing them - they run a mile when they see me coming! This is lovely, with the softness of the water and the shadow of the bird.
