About Ok - a dale and a valley are the same thing, I know! Just a nicely superfluous title!

It's desolation Valley once again, this time bravely shooing into the sun - there's a french name, Contra Jour? for it....

The trees seem to be far greener than the ferns at the mo. Like to head back up there soon, get the real golden effect of the autumn leaves.

posted this cause I liked the powerful lines from the trees to the right - they are dark at the top cause of the 2 ND grads I had over the sky to keep it from burning.

Great colours, Ade.
I don't know if I prefer the left or the right part of the picture...mmm...I think the left one! :)

Congrats!

Ade that a slightly sinister eerie feel to it, but the golden tones are great, and lift the mood. Looks like a fine old painting, especially with the framing you used. Excellent

never really thought of the sinister aspect till you mentioned it.

the grad filters do colour the trees - well make them black!! so I guess that will give it a looming and brooding quality.

it's decent spot up there, a bit of a walk but plenty of opportunities to stop and take shots - that's my excuse for a breather anyway.... and steve did no complain once :-) he was behind most the time !!
