About Ok...so we don't get Fall colors here...:( so I made my own...:)...This is an Oak tree and I added a filter for the Autumn effect...maybe not so great, but I like it, mostly I just love trees..I wish the houses weren't there but what can I say...I can definitely see the wide angle effect on the houses..hope you all like this one...

This is very nice, I love the huge tree Linda. The way you have cropped it makes the branches look like they go on forever. The coloring is great and it does give it a Fall look. This year we hardly have any color.

Beautiful image, a great photograph. My compliments

Janet B   {K:16139} 10/20/2005
I'm a big fan of wide angle shots, as well as trees! I also wish the houses weren't there and it was nothing but tree, but that isn't always possible! What a mighty oak with all it's twists and turns in the branches.
Love it, Linda, well captured and nice treatment!!

pinar üründül   {K:2632} 10/20/2005
magnificent!!! tree is very wonderful best shot congratulations! Linda best wishes..)))

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 10/20/2005
Beautifully captured tree, Linda, the branches were made for a square image! The color is very good, it looks very natural and emphasizes the strong radial direction of the branches. As for the houses, you can always crop them out (see below), but you lose the square format. I do like the wide angle effect on the houses, it's whimsical, and the houses give a sense of scale. I would only clone out the post. See what you think? Best regards, Ina

Linda Bique   {K:73886} 10/20/2005
Thanks Ina that was sweet of you, actually I have some straight out of the camera shots like your crop. I took them at the same time and applied a different filter and was planning on posting them as well, but as far as this image goes, I like the vertical presentation with the strength of the trunk in this image and that's why I posted this one first. I like the houses in the image as well, but you're right I could have cloned out that post and I should have, but I didn't think it distracted that much. I guess I should have taken that out...thanks again Ina...Linda

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 10/20/2005
Linda, I think I like your version better, too :)

Susie OConnor   {K:34798} 10/20/2005
What a gigantic tree...looks like a village meeting area. You did good with the filters...I was fooled until I read the about. :)

Ameed El-Ghoul   {K:42188} 10/20/2005
It came out just fine Linda, I like it, using the filter is a creative idea,
Here in Montreal, the colors are just amazing, I tried to go out get some shots for the fall, but it was raining from 3 days non stop,
i will try next weekend, other wise, I will miss it,
Cheers and keep up the good work,
Regards,

Linda Bique   {K:73886} 10/20/2005

NN     {K:26787} 10/20/2005
Hi Linda! That?s the solution - if you don?t have them, you make them, LOL! The tree looks BIG indeed ... the small "collapsing" houses emphasize its huge size. I like how you composed/cropped this shot; good work! *hugs*

Fabio Ficola   {K:10466} 10/20/2005
Good work Linda,

I prefere this image where the old oak is presented in his whole beauty.

Congrats. Fabio

Sergio M. Cameno   {K:7670} 10/20/2005
Very beautiful shot!
Great composition.
Excellent, Linda.

Dirck DuFlon   {K:35779} 10/20/2005
Really nice shot, Linda - what a wonderful old oak! (You've reminded me again that I have to prune the oaks I have left before this next storm gets here! :) Great job depicting the expanse of the tree with the wide angle, and I like the filter you applied, too - gives an 'autumny' feel and also a somewhat nostalgic sense!

Linda Bique   {K:73886} 10/20/2005
Thank you mi querido...I love these Oaks and hope to get many more...Trees are one of my favorite things..and I'm glad you liked it too...sorry for the reminder, hahaha...but good thinking for sure...I'm praying for the storm to weaken before it hits anywhere...besos y abrazos...Linda

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 10/20/2005
Hi Linda,

the picture for sure lives from the tentacle look. I'm not quite sure if the soft filter really adds to the scene here. maybe more textures (and not less) would be an interesting option as well. just an idea though ;-)

best wishes,
Thilo

Hanggan Situmorang   {K:37812} 10/20/2005
Great composition, Linda. Good scaling with the houses that I can feel the dimension. Love your desire and appreciation by using the filter. Very good effort, my friend. Congratulations!

sherif hussein   {K:13806} 10/20/2005

Giulio Rotelli   {K:28375} 10/21/2005
Grande colorazione e ottima inquadratura, che rende bene l'idea della maestosità dell'albero.
mi piace davvero molto, i rami delineano delle linee interessanti

Saeed Al Shamsi   {K:47543} 10/21/2005
Well composed image where the fill-frame gives this tree a huge look, definitely the filter works and fit to suite the season. superb.Saeed

Mark Hamilton   {K:8384} 10/22/2005
Hi Linda

Same comments apply as to your other tree/autmn image.
Though the feeling of surrealism/ dreamscape is heightened even more for me in this image with the total absence of people.

I like it......

Mark

Sergio  Cárdenas   {K:24811} 10/22/2005
Me gusta mucho esta, los tonos ocres y amarillos, y las ramas del arbol, como queriendose escapar del cuadro.
Muy buena.
Saludos

Jason Mardell   {K:1113} 10/25/2005
Linda - anyone can point a camera at trees, but you have a talent for composition that makes them stand out amoungst the many others - I like this one - I think its the even distribution of the leaves and branches - reminds me of one of those electic glass balls that branch out to touch your hands

Sameh Odeh   {K:4717} 10/25/2005
Also facination shot...excellent...
Well done

Linda Bique   {K:73886} 10/25/2005
