You knew i would love this and the sentiments in your about get to me,Sassy...i will eagerly await for the day you breathe new life into this house ;>
Love the perspective and the contrast level is most appealing to me...the illuminated cloud cover and the one lit window express "hope"...there is an obvious strength about this house....nice to see you posting again,my friend! love ya,Shameless

great capture.. interesting house...always makes me wonder who has lived in these types of houses and what joys, sorrows and life experiences the house has seen over the years.. The sky is especially dramatic and adds to the overall composition... good work

Wow.. impressive and heavy atmosphere you captured here. You're right reading you're about!! This is the "hanted house" . The angle, the perspective you choose, the presence of heavy clouds, all contribute to create this strange feeling. This is an excellent composition Christine Congrats Fabrice

What an excellent metaphor for the rest of our lives. Even when we're in there we usually can't be sure if the forces are benign. Or not. And all we can do is breathe. This is a beautiful photographic accomplishment with its silky tones and dramatic contrasts. Pleasing and profound.

This reminds me that halloween is not that far away. Until you breathe some new life I wonder if gobblins dwell there. I do love the lighting you achieved. It gives a very emotional feeling to the photo. Del.

Wow, Christine! Every time you make a 'comeback' it's with such a strong, wonderful image! I can almost hear the wind whistling around the old house, competing with my own whistling as I walk hurriedly past, trying not to appear scared... The one brightly lit window is deliciously mysterious - reminds me of one of those romance novel covers with the girl fleeing the castle with the single light on! :) This is a great metaphor for things currently going on. Maybe the light in the window represents hope and inner strength that will ultimately overcome and triumph!

Awesome Christine! Like a scene from a Sci-fi or horror movie, would make a great book cover...wonderful collection of elements all pulled together to effectively convey your message, and very well complimented by your words. The low perspective really adds to the spooky effect of the one lone house situated precariously under those looming clouds..Excellent treatment and nice to see a new post from you my talented friend...Linda

That looks more like a reflection of light on the front window instead of a light from inside? Absolutely awesome tones..very mysterious. I'll have to give my Poe award to you on this one! Bravo!!!!!

Ahhhhh... such a delectable dish you have offered up here, my dear Christine! I've been away, and I'm so happy to feast on this sumptuous feast for the eyes! I love that you didn't spare the drama at all!... I love the stark contrast between the creepy (yet inviting) house, and the warm, bright straw in the foreground. And the clouds....awesome! You have skillfully chosen the tones for this presentation... if you're going for edgy, creepy..then go for the jugular, and you most certainly have done that. This is exceptional in every sense of the word.. ..and you better get your butt in there! We want a full report! ..Brad

A wonderful perspective and I truly like the composition splitting the image into thirds; the grassy, lighted foreground with the feathery texture of the stalks . . . the center subject . . . dark, foreboding (even without the 'about' section) which is neatly framed by the natural elements (in this case dark trees) . . . and the upper dramatic cloud covered sky adding a whispy depth and new dimension to the overall composition. This is an amazing shot.
Regards, Doyle I <-----
