thanks a lot Shawn! I noticed we have almost the same photographic history. I also stared with a P&S, had the same Yashica camera and later came to Nikon. :)

Thanks David,
I still have that Yashica camera (Needs to be repaired), Minolta 9000 (Needs to be Repaired) and also Minolta 7xi, Nikon FM3A, Yashica-E 2-1/4 x 2-1/4 (Medium Format), I still shoot Film and don't have any Digital SLR's Cameras as of yet. Am actualy afraid of them. Changing lenes dust may get on the sensor has to go in the shop to be cleaned (constantly changing lenes like my prime lenes over zooms). They are battery hogs. I have a slow Computer. The small sensor does not make use of wide angle lens, I perfer a full frame sensor. Highlites are grossly over exposed. Noise in long exposures. Exposeure laditude is not the same as film. I get a higher quality enlargement with my Medium Format film camera (40yo). So thats where I stand (Not Sure about Digital)

I do like your images alot.

I am blown away by the clarity in your shots. amazing. love the entire composition here too. so awesome.

David Hofmann   {K:23763} 10/28/2005
Hi Shawn, both my cameras (D70 & D2H0 take about 1000 photos on a battery with looking at each photo on the screen for 5-10 seconds. Never shoot that much in a day, though :)
Sure digital still has some small drawbacks, but the advantages more than outweight them for me. I shot film for 20 years and love digital. As for wideangles, there are more than plenty wide angles available for digital cameras.

I just shoot so much that film would ruin me.

David,
Thanks for taking the time.

I bet your son will be a photobug too. LOL

Beautiful portrait ! You can always assume that if you put a boy on the floor with a few toys, he will proably sit for you for hours! And what an incredibe image you got here!!
