wow! this is really a great photo! i don't know if the green stains are part of the scenery or if you added them on another layer... anyway they add a great feeling of abandon and decay... i love the diagonal perspective too!

Hi Robert and many thanks for your comment! The layer work are not new for me... if you have seen the portfolio "Väsen" you had seen my old layer work done in darkroom, first exhibited at 1996.

Diamonds & Gold (Raindogs)

"The broken glass
And the rusty nails
Where the violets grow
Say goodbye to the railroad"

Love those faded history places.

Beautifully and metaphorical ? Yes, I too see the end of the line even though there is still much terrain to cover.
Great to see new work Jeanette! Nothing wrong with leaves - leaves are pretty and all? but ?Gone? is on another level altogether.

Kiss. C

Aram Gharib   {K:4342} 10/28/2005
Old railway,
Nobody is waiting for it
To lay under any train,
Anymore.

The friends are gone.
Nobody takes its hand
Anymore.

But it keeps looking
Along its rusted body
For something to happen
Some train to come.

Watch carefully!
You can see its old brown teeth
behind the big simile.

-- Aram
