About This is not close to the rails at all but it looks so abandon even though it?s not - just a forgotten corner :)
Could also place this in category nature since nature are taking over!!!

Graphically very beautiful.
Excellent piece of cityscape.

marco "dheim" orciuoli   {K:4464} 11/2/2005
the wall behind the hut makes a strange effect... it looks like a purple sky until you look at the graffiti... beautiful and well composed!

Mark Hamilton   {K:8387} 11/2/2005
cool it's the wall in the background that adds to the surreal edge to this image. I like it.

Mark

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59855} 11/2/2005
Cioa! Why i valled it Lappland here? is that up there in north it?s normal with unpainted sheds and houses....the birches are small and thin and in autumn the leaves are shining yellow. Here it was such strange combination together with the red behind.... there gonna be more from this place!!

Jeanette

marco "dheim" orciuoli   {K:4464} 11/2/2005
PEPPARKAKOR! damn my poor swedish! :) i'm worse than babelfish, after all! anyway i'm eating those kakor, i'm listening to the new opeth album (3-4 times a day...), i'm proudly digiting on my brand new and not so stable SUMMERA keyboard stand with the light of my brand new TRETTIOER led lights... i owe something to sweden...

Jojk-jojk. Nice autumn palette. Ja se drömmen om eremitaget. Jag borde flytta dit, inget internet, på sin höjd en brödrost.

Gary Dyck   {K:12708} 11/2/2005
i agree with Marco... it really does look like sky at the top right corner, they you see the graffiti and realize it's just a funky painted wall. Great composition!! Cheers, Gary

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59855} 11/2/2005
Ha ha ha - ja fyyyyy faaaan, jag skulle döööööööö av lappsjuka! Illa, illa!!!!

Paolo Corradini   {K:58214} 11/2/2005
the wall seems a pink sky unusual.. i like it!

Gust@vo Sch3v3rin   {K:153246} 11/2/2005
Excelente captura de un lugar encantador.
Felicitaciones!

Stefan Engström   {K:24473} 11/2/2005
That wall is outrageous! Another unusual color combination... I like it.

Simone Tagliaferri   {K:28180} 11/2/2005
Bella composizione, il muro dietro la rende surreale.

Pawel Kwasnicki   {K:9630} 11/2/2005
Wow, this is really great piece of good art, interesting crop with such strong colors, kind of eclecticism; best regards, Pawel

Endre Novak   {K:12549} 11/2/2005
Nature and man or man and nature or something like that... :-)
Nice finding.
Endre

Carlos     {K:12969} 11/2/2005
You mistress of color dreams? Yes, the color play really is quite stunning Jeanette, but I feel the shot ?ends? rather abruptly ? the crop I mean, or perhaps the size of image ( but I respect this is YOUR standard size choice) in presenting work. For me the image appears cramped? It calls out for more wall, more tree, definitely more graphite ... and certainly much more of that so so cool a shack!

C

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59855} 11/2/2005
Hola! I have to tell that it?s ot possible to have more of the wall into the shot - simply of the reason it?s ending just over my crop. For me it?s this crop doing it and there is no more wall - of the red- and the shed just look the same as here.... I accept how you feel about it, but this was the possible choice and also how i wanted it - shut in!!!!!
:))
Thanks for you honest thought Carlos, i appreciate that!

Jeanette

Roberto Arcari Farinetti   {K:192008} 11/2/2005

Mohamed Banna   {K:34231} 11/2/2005

i know it is not
but the graphics ans the position of the tree
the colors and tone

amazing composition

WELL DONE DEAR JEANETTE

Rebecca Raybon   {K:26645} 11/2/2005
excellent composition, details and colors. This is a very exciting place. I would still be there shooting! lol

Ahmed Ismail   {K:19853} 11/2/2005
The trees and this shed against the colorful wall behind is very nice. Beautiful shot!

Bea Friedli   {K:9834} 11/3/2005
very cool...love the colors !

Aram Gharib   {K:4342} 11/3/2005
Very nice and almost unreal color composition.

For me, the "abandoned" feeling comes with grafittis. Signs of modern (super-modern) urban society imply abandon... Interesting!

Well done. Cheers.

Subhash Sen   {K:11460} 11/3/2005
Hi !Jeanette we get to see the most unusual places & pics in a beautiful way thru your lens ,love, subhash.

Larissa Nazarova   {K:12112} 11/3/2005
from thumbnails, iwas thinking that pink- it's a color of the sky and it's separate house from wall, looks very dimenstional. Great combination of colors!!!!!! You shot so su-realistic, it's even something new way ....
My regards, LArissa

. .   {K:16329} 11/3/2005
Oh Grimm!!! Looks like the white children have graffitied the witch's house again. She'll have them in her oven for certain this time!

Looks like a stage set for a film........ too cool!

Ameed El-Ghoul   {K:42207} 11/3/2005
Nicely cropped Jeanette, the crop is the master in here, I like the atmosphere and the background, very well done dear,
Regards,

Rosario Esposito   {K:9796} 11/3/2005

Fabrice

Ivan Di Pietro   {K:1229} 11/3/2005
Great shot Jeanette !
I agree with Marco's comment: it seems like a purple sky (there is a gredient in the color too..)

ivan

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 11/3/2005
Me too, I thought it was a pink sky, until I realized there were graffitti over it! I like the uneasiness of the little house against the big pink wall. The graffitti are a sign of urban desolation, but the pink color of the wall and the beautiful yellow of the tree add a note of strange "happiness" to the scene. The contradiction ties the whole composition together, as in the why is it there? and what's beyond it? As long as an art piece - in my opinion - makes the viewer stop and think, it has achieved its purpose. So, well done, Jeanette!

B:)liana    {K:30945} 11/3/2005

Mark Sherman   {K:15637} 11/3/2005
for some reason it feels like a modern nativity scene. beautiful but not in the usual way.

a. gianfranco baccelli   {K:20822} 11/3/2005
Oltre all'aspetto della composizione e dei colori mi piace questa tua foto per le domande che suscita. Io mi chiedo chi abita in quella casa? Cosa indicano quei graffiti? Quale costruzione si cela dietro quel muro rosa? Quale vita palpita in quei luoghi cosė degradati? La sua categoria č proprio questa. Una foto che suscita tali curiositā č giornalismo.
Bravissima Jeanette!
Ciao.

Gennaro Guarino   {K:12265} 11/3/2005

Ehhh! I think this is a very exciting composition, the colours, the graffiti, the tree and the abandoned bungalow a strange mix up for the new style! A lovely concept but very strange! Mainly from you, this style very creative mind and very impressive vision. I do love it. ...and inspire me! :) Oh friend how works inspired me!? Thank for your artwork and mind! A really extreme art! Giorgio Goretti   {K:15471} 11/6/2005
I wonder to see graffiti in the motherland of northern rigor also! world is getting more and more similar everywhere, a bad thing to me, so we'll lost our own distinctive peculiarities .. spontaneous thought Jeanette, excellent documentary image nonetheless... :-)
ciao, bellissima!
Giorgio

Mark Collier   {K:543} 11/6/2005
What a great photo. Looks like it could be a stage setting for a play.

karen clarke   {K:18915} 11/6/2005
An instant favorite Jeanette. I love how the purplish pink wall behind represents some of the morning skies I have seen. It appears that someone has decided to stake their clame on it. Great find~

a. gianfranco baccelli   {K:20822} 11/7/2005
Hello Jeanette, I have translated my comment.
I like your photo for the questions it rouses besides to the aspect of composition and of colours.
I am asking who lives in that house? What those scratches show? What building hides behind the
pink wall? What kind of life lives in this degrading place? Its category is exactly this one.
A phone that rouses these curiosities is journalism.

Very good Jeanette!

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59855} 11/7/2005
HI Albert and many thanks for your translation!!! I will answer the questions.. This place are firstly a place for sport, GOLF. This pink wall are made of some plastic, thick, and "building" looks like a balloon. I don?t knwo what they are called, but are used for sports. This shot are taken on the backside and no one lives here and no ones care for the rubish been left either or the grafitti done of youngsters....cause no one sees it, but i did! I have a collection of shots from that place....i will post more later on! ;)

Kind regards,
Jeanette

good bye!   {K:-694} 11/7/2005
great colors.. the wall behind "creates" this photograph :)
