Geometric and harder egdged but still has the Emgy look and many of the characteristics of your Old Paint on Metal series. I think the shadows work very well in this, and act as a nice counter to the hard geometric construction. And the cobalt blue is stunning and unusual. Excellent work, Emgy!!

I like the clours and composition of this Emgy. The blue is so vivid its amazing. The contrasting textures of the rusty sttel, the chain and the blue paint are very effective together, as is the offset positioning of the opening relative to the edges of the image.

Hi Embgy, Apparently, I've been away longer than you have, otherwise I'm sure I would've picked this one out.... I'm always fascinated by the capture of textures and materials. The faded blue ton works well,. The thing that really catches my eye, though is the shadow of the chain on the left of the port hole. Looking at it's angle and sharpness, the actual chain looks to be close by, yet it's excluded from this view. Very nice and subtle touch....:)

I take a quick look at your portfolio. WOW, real creative and artistic work. Love your recent pics, really colorfull. Great PS works on many of them. You're an artist. If you just accept a little critic, just prefer to see all the chain parts in the bottom of this one, just a little detail. For the composition, colors, exposure, it's perfect.
But I still think that there's a real impressive portfolio my friend.

Thank you, Jaques. I appreciate any kind of comment and critique in particular. That's what really gives you some food for thoughts. I agree with your opinion about the chain and be all included in the image. Picture was taken some time ago and I think I remember someone else suggesting the same. It would have been great to see the rest of the chain piled up on a corner at the bottom but we aren't always lucky. What you don't see here is just the part of chain hanging too far on the right to be included in a close up of the opening. It's the latter that attracted my attention and the chain in the darkness of the cavity.
