About .....left on the destroyed rail... This is a repost. I know there are some small parts which are "burnt out"....
IF there was any "moody cityscape, this had fit perfectly" ;)

I changed from "Moody Landscape" to "Perspective" since it fit better.... ;)

Ivan Di Pietro   {K:1226} 11/7/2005
Excellent composition !!
A can that gently sleeps upon the horizontal ties in the right-botton side of the image and the rusty railroads that carry the eyes to the upper-left side.
My compliments.

Interesting picture,cheers!!!!!

Gerhard Busch   {K:11753} 11/7/2005
An impressive subject that its effect relates through the Minimalismus. Sincerely Gerhard

Antonio Trincone   {K:23167} 11/7/2005
the clear sharpness and neat quality on the can do not result on the green grass disturbing me a bit even if it give 3d feel; may be a closeup should enhance the whole photo

Jani Salvataggio   {K:26829} 11/7/2005
Excellent details!!! very good composition!
regards
Jani

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 11/7/2005
Hi Jeanette,

a very good example for out of focus composing. the trash cam catches the eyes, then the eyes follow the rail to the horizon. The framing by the grass is also wisely done.

Overall, a fine one.

best wishes,
Thilo

Dubravko Grakalic   {K:24332} 11/7/2005
your small objects are great photos :-)

Mark Hamilton   {K:8384} 11/7/2005

Jeanette

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59796} 11/7/2005

Jeanette

naftali raz   {K:1723} 11/7/2005
a cruel metaphore, well executed ;)

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59796} 11/7/2005
Ciao Antonio. I choosed to not crop the grass since the weagon on the rail is IN the so called story and important in my shot, therefore also some grass has to be visible ;) ...and the grass it self are ALSO in the subject since no rails in use has this high grass growing!!!

:)

Jeanette

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59796} 11/7/2005

David Martín   {K:543} 11/8/2005
I like so much how the rails connect the first plane with the second misterious plane.

Nigel Watts   {K:10748} 11/8/2005
Simply amazing, perect title
Nigel

Ina Nicolae   {K:44481} 11/8/2005
This is a fantastic angle of view! It looks dangerous, too! I love the crushed can, semi-rusted, in the perfect corner for the composition! And the warped & twisted wood ties, almost seem twitching in pain! The far away car which we don't know if it's coming or going, adds to the low perspective, as if I'd want to move beyond the picture frame (raise my gaze) to see if it's moving. And finally, the yellow grass, neither green (hope) nor brown (dead) adds an element of uncertainty! Superb, and a favorite. Love your new bio picture Jeanette!

Jara Parijayee    {K:4964} 11/9/2005
EVEN TRASH IS SO BEAUTIFUL THROUGH YOUR LENS!

Jeanette Hägglund   {K:59796} 11/9/2005

Artur Brzeczkowski   {K:198} 11/15/2005
IF there was any "moody cityscape, this had fit perfectly"
I agree :) this is really moody and I don't know why but it makes smile on my face (maybe that can is funny:))

Clifton Mair   {K:363} 11/15/2005
This one, a great story, takes me there :)

Lukasz Kuczkowski   {K:14684} 11/16/2005
nice comparision and combination, Jeanette;
like the possible story I can imagine here - this can, old rails and the train in the background :-) make fantastic story
good usage of DOF and diagonal composition leading my eyes from one important point to another one;
well done
regards
Lukasz

Mark Beltran   {K:32612} 11/21/2005
I don't see any burned out areas at all on this new version. You're right, this is more of a Perspective than Moody Landscape.

João Tavares   {K:39114} 11/29/2005
Firm view!

João

Kunal Mehta   {K:2484} 12/1/2005
