With a simple and linear idea has obtained one much elegant image, giving to prominence perfectly to the lampad taking advantage of the shadow.

Agree Erik, I find RAW far better than Jpg, have no experience with tif. But conversion is great from RAW colour to b/W. What do you think?

this b+w looks great on the screen. how about printing? i tend to use some sort of sepia before inkjet printing. the pure b+w's tend to look a little weird, but worth a try. no need to ever shoot in TIFF, but it is a nice format to edit in.

How do you sharpen your photos Endre? Is it unsharp mask - how much do you apply?
I was looking back over my comments to you, and just about everyone mentions how sharp your photos are - as is this one - pin sharp.

Thanks Sally for your visit. Hot topic for me: as,
actually I still find my digital shots too soft....:-) always far too soft!
Normally, I apply sharpenning after resizing to UF, in Canon's Photo Studio sw. It this, there are less options, but like the sharpenning tool better that in PS. Generally I choose "Sharpen lightly", sometimes apply it 2X, and like the result better that appling "sharpen" or sharpen heavily, - that destroys the image...
But if you know any sharpenning tool pls. let me know, as I am really mad on this issue... So much so, that I just bought 3 prime leneses, hoping to get sharper images than with zooms...
