Oh that are a looong story. I collect different surfaces, as i did before for my Väsen serie (for example): metal with different structures and light, then i use that texture image as a layer, and make it b/w, change the contrast, add grain and then add to the "subject" image. ...then i mix the channels with both layers until i?m satisfied!
Easy and fun too!!!

Close encounters of the concrete kind.......... looks like the underside of a Speilberg spaceship. Preformed concrete trusses, and I imagine the rails are directly above. Not too old it seems. And of course I had to flip the picture around a few times to make sure you weren't up to your old tricks.

Looking for shelter from the rain?
Maybe not... anyhow, concrete bridges are often a great source of inspiration and have some relly nice details, like I can see here. Fantastic texture and composition, beautiful subject.

Dear Jeanette,
the rusty textures and the diagonal setup make the image. maybe it would be an idea to try a pure black & white version as well? Just my 2 cents though =)
