About Crawling around on my neighbor lawn around 7:30 am. If I understand Barry Wakelin correctly the blue tones here is what you expect from using daylight (slide) film in morning light. Decided to leave them in after all - it was rather frosty.

Great colors and abstract textures in the grass, Stefan. The blue and violet highlights add a lot, I think. This time of year autumnal shots are common and popular, but it can be a challenge to shoot something unique and interesting as you have here. Crawling around can be a dirty, wet, and cold business, but the angle you have used here is facinating! Great work!

In the archetypal heros Journey according to Joseph Campbell he dissappears into the woods and the towns folk think he's mad goes through his ordeal slays a monster and returns witht the gift of fire or something like that.
All at your neighbours place at 7.30 if you crushed some snails on the way! Nice!
So that blue would be reflected from the sky I suppose, It's not very often well used. Looks good here.

Hi Stefan,

awesome perspective! it was worth crawling around in the lawn ;-) The color fits perfectly to the coldness. great usage of DOF here. love the mild off-centering. for me, a strong one.

best wishes,
Thilo

I like these morning blue tones and I think they're the perfect choice for this cold scene. They also complement the red/orange leaf beautifully. Nice.
