I?m amazed by the architecture Thilo! Do you think you would see something similar in Sweden? NO WAY!!!!! I HAVE to travel in Germany soon, thats for sure... :)
I like how you composed this, the levels of floors and the mix between dynamic and motion blur!

Wonderful tones, view (love the contrast between the 'crisp' building and the 'soft' people..!!) and angle..... excellent composition... you even got the lines in the floor (almost... LOL) lined up with the corners.... well done!!! Der Reichstag sure is a neat building, lots of photo-opps.... ;-D!!!

Fantastic almost cosmic feeling to this image, love the curves, well seen~

Linda Bique   {K:73886} 11/19/2005
Excellent perspective, wonderful curves, love the contrasts between static and dynamic..and the curves on the ground with the curves of the stairs, as always your tones are very good, well done Thilo!

Andre Denis   {K:55940} 11/19/2005
Very nice Thilo,
I like the colours in this shot and the motion blur of the people. My shot of the airport terminal is quite similar concept, except you gave a nice amount of space below the people's feet. It looks so much better that way. The composition is just right. You get a nice 3D effect from all the curved lines in the top half and from the floor as well.
I know I've said this before, but when I look at your images, I find that the longer I look the more I see. I think you are one of the best here at composing your images for presentation. Someimes there is some subtle details that may not be noticed right away.
Andre

Luis Alvarez   {K:2038} 11/19/2005
This is fantastic, one more great shot of berlin. You have a very good eye at seeing things differently.

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 11/19/2005
Hi Andre,

what can I say to appreciate your comment? =)

I always try to compose "interesting" images with lots of details. This is the character of most of my images. But it can limit you as well. I'm not very good in focussing on just a few things. There are just few pictures from me that fall into the category "focussed". But these are my favourites =)

best wishes,
Thilo

Maybe we can change our appartments for two weeks? ;-)

nice one T! The graphic shapes seem to pointing to the people walking, sending the energy their way.

Andre Denis   {K:55940} 11/19/2005
Hi Thilo,
It is good to have variety in the work. I believe that. Or we stand a chance of getting bored.
Although, I've heard that some great photographers have concentrated on the same subject matter, with the same film and paper for many years and obsessed over their results, trying for perfection.
I don't think I could do that. It isn't in my nature to dwell on a certain subject too long. Like you, I still have favourite things to shoot of course.
Andre

Roger Williams   {K:82682} 11/19/2005
Excellent use of the wide-angle end of this remarkable lens. Having the people show motion blur is very effective--emphasizes the monolithic, imovable building over its transient occupants! I really can't think how I have missed your beautiful and original photographs in my two years at Usefilm. I won't be missing any more!

Thilo Bayer   {K:50301} 11/20/2005
Hi Roger,

well, thanks for your constructive and kind words.

The same goes out to me. UF is really big ;-)

best wishes,
Thilo

Angelo Villaschi   {K:49617} 12/5/2005
If your eye was caught by the blurred people, you need glasses !!! ;)

This is one where the camera needs to "see" for us, and you made it do that very well.

Hand-held? Very well held, sir! A tripod would have allowed 1/8s and a bit mor blur.

narabia     {K:9560} 5/24/2006
excellent composition
