Very interesting paul with great reflections. How are you finding that lens. I have just bought oneand find it quite good.

Paul Lara   {K:86876} 11/21/2005
I'm in LOVE with this lens!
I have a 50mm 1.8 and a 75-300 but I find myself using this 17-85 90% of the time. Even though it's not fast, the image stabilization makes up for it.

Danny Brannigan   {K:17509} 11/21/2005
Thanks Paul, thats just about what I think of it.

Nice job on this Paul. Your work of art competes favorably with his.

Roger Skinner   {K:75102} 11/22/2005
whoa where's the reality checker??

Paul Lara   {K:86876} 11/22/2005
Here's the full-sized (or, larger-than-life sized) carp, all made of glass plates, and called "standing fish", this was designed by Frank Gehry in 1981.

I like to look for abstractions by getting in close. ;)

Paul Lara   {K:86876} 11/22/2005
Hmmm. Lemme try to upload this shot again.

Paul Lara   {K:86876} 11/22/2005
Ah, it was a couple bytes too large.
HERE's the full-sized sculpture

"Standing fish" wide shot

Luke Luther   {K:14687} 11/23/2005
i recognized the carp from the TN, Paul. Excellent capture of this with reflections. Got it right this time, too. Luke

Your goal of abstracting by getting in close has worked a treat here Paul, well seen.

Sleepless Aquarius   {K:11186} 7/10/2006
At first glance in the small picture it looked like an intricate arrangement of polaroids, who would have guessed it would be a big glass fish. I bet it took a longgg time to make. Very nice picture with all the reflections.
