Excellent journalistic and human interest shot! Nice composition as well with the slight tilt of the camera.

I very much like documentary photos like this that show an aspect of life many of us do not realize. Nice work!

Superb jounalism shot, another slice of Indonesian life very well recorded. It is a shame she is still working at her age, as you say she should be retired and taking it easy after a busy life no doubt.

I'm glad that you take the time to photograph real life, real people. We are so sheltered.
Im curious though, how do your subjects handle being photographed? Do they ever notice? Or object?

Hanggan Situmorang   {K:37824} 11/30/2005
Dear Corrie,

Smile is the key when my action is known before or after the shooting. If they object about me capturing them, I won't move my position and keep shooting while they look at me. This way I hope they will think that "actually" I didn't take their picture but other objects which happen in the same direction as theirs...:)
But, most of all, keep smiling....nobody could resist smiles...:)

Hugs,
Hanggan
