Your playing with the long exposure is fantastic creating such moody results!

I've just discovered your portfolio Bill.....absolutely love your work. I expect to be here for a few hours to start with....lol

Bill Morgenstern   {K:7124} 1/23/2006
Hello Mel,

Thanks for viewing and comments on several of my images. I'm pleased you like them and want to spend time looking them over. When I finish this I'll check out your gallery as well.

To answer your question, the quilted aspen image was captured by panning up and slightly to the right during the exposure. After much practice I have learned what movement to make with my camera to achieve the results I'm looking for. This entire approach is one I have chosen to capture the essence of my subject beyond the normal realistic approach.

Thanks again and all the best from Canada,

Bill

Ms. Mel Brackstone   {K:6455} 1/23/2006
Thanks for the input Bill. I know I've tried to do this sort of thing, not usually very successfully, I might add. Its a joy to view your images though, and they are very inspiring to me.

Bill Morgenstern   {K:7124} 3/5/2006
Thanks Czeslav, this is all done in camera with no PS. Only PS was a bit of saturation. Look at my porfolio at http://www.pbase.com/fujiguy1944 for many more of these.

Cheers and Regards - Bill
