About A cold October morning, fog and hoarfrost. Handheld, 16 mm focal length in film terms. Exposure bracketing for the lights and shadows, to get the best tonal quality. Because handheld shift, stitched with 100% overlap, composite of shadows / lights and B&W with Convert to B&W pro. At last, composite of color over B&W version in color mode, about 50% opacity.

I like this one much better - it has your strong feeling for composition! It?s so suggestive, the field with the curved lines... a lovely moody shot!

Very interesting composition. Made a beautiful scene. Don.

You lost me on the last stage of your explanation, Carsten. Why make a composite of colour and B&W? Is this why the colour looks so desaturated in the ruts of the cart-track skiring the field? It's a dark, brooding image, and I love the rendering of the mist hanging over the distant fields.

Excellent work! I love the desatureted colours that give a sujestion of cold. The fog give a feeling of endlessly.
Congrats

Technically and aesthetically A1, Carsten!
Top notch landscape work, as ever.
Best regards, Chris

Another beautiful landscape, Carsten, but so cold, cold, cold looking! :) Wonderful crispness all the way through the scene, and I love the graceful curves of the road, the hills and even the trees that seem to huddle together for warmth! The desaturated color really adds to the mood here.

A lot of work but it really paid off in the end!

Roger, the color palette is quite muted, I know that. Not really beautiful, but it was a cold morning, high fog, hoarfrost. I felt cold in my car, the heating was not warmed-up... Just a try to convey this feeling.

Cheers

I love the lines and contours of the land in this, and the subtle chromatic tones. The track seen on the left and curving into the field of view as it disappears is a great element in this composition!

Brian, I saw your work and must say, our surroundings seem to be quite similar (and, possibly, we share the preference for wide angles). Thanks for stopping by !
