About: Started photography as a hobby in 1967, age 17. Continued until 1980 or '81 when marriage, first house, and raising a family gave me new priorities.
Resumed my old hobby in 2001 and now back at it full bore. Since 2001, I collect and use mechanical cameras from the Soviet Union and East Germany, but now I shoot mostly with my Canon Digital Rebel digital camera.
I am self-taught, but in July 2003, I participated in a fantastic workshop with Karen Schulman of Focus Adventures, and I really feel my work has improved since that experience.
