About: Photography has been a hobby of mine since 1979. My first camera was a Canon AT-1 camera which I still have. I quickly moved to medium format cameras and took up wedding and portrait photography because I liked shooting pictures of people and it also made me lots of money which I used to pay for all my expensive photography gear. I shot weddings and portraits using mainly a Mamiya RB67 medium format camera for aproximately 10 years. I also did a lot of scenic photography using the RB67 plus a Pentax 6x7. Having all my summer weekends booked for up to two years in advance eventually tired me out and made me loose interest in photography. I shot my last paid wedding job in 1989 and slowly gave up photography other than to take the occasional snapshot. In 2003 I bought a Canon G2 digital camera which got me interested in photography again. The G2 was a good camera but the quality was no where near as good as what I was used to with the medium format film cameras. It was a great little camera just the same and I enjoyed using it very much. In 2004 I bought a Nikon D70 and loved it. The D70 still isn't as good as my medium format film cameras but it's pretty good. I had a lot of fun with it. In Dec 2005 I bought a Nikon D200 and in Dec 2006 I bought a Nikon D2Hs. My latest camera is a Nikon D3 which I bought in Nov 2007. The D3 is an amazing camera which enables me to finally get the quality I was used to getting with my medium format film cameras. I really enjoy taking people pics especially during my travels. I spend a lot of time in front of my PC editing my photos with Photoshop. It's a great pastime and very enjoyable for me. I hope you like my photos. I really appreciate your comments. Please look at my photos on my webpage here as well: http://www.pbase.com/jeweller
