About: Usefilm is a tentative experiment, from which I hope to gain some valuable critiques and find sympathetic contemporaries. I welcome honest, courteous appraisals of my work with suggestions for improvement where necessary, and hope to give the same to others. I enjoy the high standard and feel of much of the work posted here in comparison to other sites, particularly in monochrome, and aspire to approach those of the best. I enjoy pictures that go beyond mere "record shots" and portray an atmosphere, an emotion or even just a mundane, everyday subject in an appealing light.
