About: Took photography seriously in the 70's. Too seriously. As a result I dropped out and followed a different career. Restarted in 2/98, promising myself not to get burned again. My mantra: It's just a hobby.
Till 2003 I worked with film (Contax/Zeiss kit, 35mm SLR and G2), waiting for digital quality to go up and prices to come down. Now most of my photography's done without film. Not that the medium matters all that much, but I find it easier with digital to get the unctuous look I want, and to make a finished photo in the limited time at hand.
(Postscript: In January '04 I began working again in B&W, using film for its gritty, noisy look.)
