About: When I was in Grade 9 a friend, who was the school yearbook editor at the time, asked me to be the yearbook photographer. Ever since then I have been exploring the world of photography. In my university years I attended a workshop by Freeman Patterson, who became a big influence on the way I take pictures. For the past 20 years I have lived and worked in the heart of the Canadian prairies - Regina, Saskatchewan. I still use the Canon AE-1 that I purchased in 1979, though I have picked up different lens through the years. I continue to shoot slide film and recently picked up a Nikon slide scanner which has renewed my interest in exploring the world through photography. My other great interest is music and often my music recordings are cinematic in nature, no doubt influenced by my love of photography, especially landscape and abstract. I really enjoy looking at the photographic work of others and this Usefilm site is great - both the images and comments. Keep capturing the light everyone!
