About: I have enjoyed the journey so far, the varied happy and sad experiences that life delivers and a colorful array of characters encountered over more than fifty years.
At 45 I saw a fit man of 70 swim two kilometers non stop, so I taught myself to swim, to be as fit as him, what a blast! riding a horse is another, taking photographs is another, maybe the best.
The expectation that is created when out with a camera provides relaxation and brings relief from issues that cause fellow human beings pain and suffering.
A fascination with gadgets, like cameras, was probably the catalyst for my taking up photography from time to time since school in England about 1960. Then, guess what?
Another gadget, the digital camera, comes along to re ignite my interest. The whole medium takes on new meaning and I must go back to school to learn the basics again.
My wife, a talented and established Artist, copes as I enter my work in Exhibitions alongside her own!?...This is fun and I wonder if I will ever be good enough to be, well, be considered good by my peers I suppose.
Learning the basics again this past four years has been fun too, fascinating, absorbing and challenging, another journey and a shot at doing a thing really well.
